not TQ but still a good fact to know
A friend told me to buy the cheapest bottle of vodka i can find put it through a water filter 4 or 5 times and it will taste like the expensive top shelf stuff. I dont know if it works with tq but still thought i would tell you guys. I will be trying it for sure

Not true for Tequila. Tequila is either a mix or pure 100% from the agave plant, it wouldn't work. The mix is the bad stuff, you can't turn bad stuff into %100 agave TQ.
