PAX East - TQCAST Will be in the HOUSE!

Hey everyone,

The weekend of March 26-28th will be when PAX EAST takes over Boston. Penny Arcade has been running PAX in Seattle for a few years now and us on the east coast have been longing for some kind of gaming convention. Finally, PAX is coming EAST. I will be attending PAX East on the Saturday session, March 27th. The session goes from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. I will be taking pictures and trying to get as much info as I can, and with the OK from La familia TQ, I would like to be the TQCast Rep at PAX East.

The reason I'm posting this is because I know there has to be some more TQ fam in the area. I say we meet up on Saturday and check out the show.

What do you guys say? Maybe I can even get a press pass for being a journalist for TQ, LOL....Ya never know.

That would be sik Usual! Yeah man, fully represent, I know Freshtadef is in NY, and Heroicsuperman, TG1EDDIE around that are . Look for them dudes out there.

This would be so good to have up to date info of PAX from TQ.

Will look forward to this and good thinking on organising this nice and early to so as many TQs can meet up and give some great coverage of PAX.

You know what, Usual.... I just researched and it's $50 for a three-day pass, and only $200 round trip for me to go Friday-Sunday.

I won't speak for Preezy, but if you're going, I may just meet yo azz there.

PAX would be a blast. I'll try to go, but I can't promise anything at the moment. May have a job by then, but if not im all there.

Wifey's giving me heat for one day for a "toy" show as she put it. One day is all for me.

Besides, I'm sure Usual has tons of beats to create as well.

You're right, Desz, in 24 hours, Usual can literally make 86,344 10-second beats. Never mind

Seriously though, I am considering going for the whole weekend. Who else may do it? I can chill with Usual and whoever else comes on Saturday and do a live show possibly from the show floor depending on the connection there.

Over 60,000 PAX East attendees
expected, around 1,000 tickets remaining


Following up on the warning
that PAX East will sell out, Joystiq has learned that the inaugural
East Coast edition of the show will have over 60,000 attendees. Robert
Khoo, President of Operations and Biz Dev for Penny Arcade Inc., tells
us that they can't release final figures until the show is over, but are
"looking at more attendees than the last PAX in Seattle." PAX 2009 sold
out and had 60,750
participants.

PAX East organizers plan to make an announcement this week that the show
has fewer than 1,000 3-day badges remaining. At this point, PAX East
has no announced speakers, music guests nor sponsors. It seems like
everyone is buying into an expectation that the show will deliver an
experience similar to PAX West -- and you don't want to disappoint an
audience this huge.
